Abstract: 

The paper identifies the main dimensions that employees perceive significant for their retention. It compares these dimensions across various demographic characteristics viz., gender, marital status, education, tenure and age. A questionnaire, completed by 500 BPO employees, measured their perception towards the importance of these retention dimensions. Data was analyzed using factor analysis, descriptive stats, t-tests and duncan's post hoc test. Four major dimensions of retention were extracted. It was found that there is a difference in perception of BPO employees towards the importance of these job-related retention dimensions. Study implications will contribute towards industry’s continual pursuit for growth, prosperity and profitability.
