Abstract: 

Human Resource is the most important aspect of any organization. It is one of the necessary things required by the organization in order to reach to success. Human Resources Management takes up the responsibility to recruit, develop and retain the employees with the help of various HR practices. The type of HR practices followed and the way they are been implemented makes a difference. HRM plays an important role in assuring employee satisfaction, improving performance and productivity. This can further an organization's competitive advantage, and directly contribute to the organization's success. HRM plays a very important role in assuring satisfaction, Improving performance and productivity of the employees. This helps improve the competitive edge of the organization helping it to pace up on the success ladder.

This paper has been designed to review the existing literature available on Effective HRM Practices. The purpose of this paper is to find out what makes the difference. The different organizations of same stream, possessing the same HRM practices, yet, in few organizations, the HRM practices seems to be better and the way they are implemented is far better than others. Hence, an effort to find out what exactly is the reason behind this difference. What are the key factors behind effectiveness of HRM Practices? After interviewing the HR team members of various IT organizations in Nagpur, it is observed that there can be lot of factors which makes the difference in HRM practices and their implementation in the organizations. The most important and common reasons were- Existence of HR Leader with in depth knowledge of this field, Implementation of new technologies, need of continuous improvement in HR practices.
