Abstract:

Views are just like a balance (typically called TARAZU in Hindi). Two opposite sides representing the two opposing sets of ideas, with a necessary balancing point at the very centre. The fight is between TWO thoughts - ‘HR professionals being competent enough holding fair & a deserving chance to move up the hierarchy’ And ‘Only 5% of those CEOs are accounted for by HR directors. HR’s lack the broader business knowledge ’. A balancing point does exist wherein what qualities people’s managers have and what they lack, both hold importance.

In this paper, both primary & secondary data are used to capture the twin views floating in organizations. We have put forth the encouraging& optimistic thoughts of various managers & CEO’s thereby listing their strengths. The opposing views & their effects thereafter are also discussed. Finally, we have emphasized on the weapons (apart from people knowledge) that will help HR managers in transiting to the top job & covering the leap easily.
