To get a breakthrough in attaining good e-governance, a country needs to be well equipped in terms of departments dedicated to E-governance exclusively. In addition to this inclusion of citizens of the country is equally important. To streamline people with e-governance, a two way interaction is necessary.

This exploratory study tries to find out the usage of social media by citizens to communicate with the government and vice versa. Also this study analyses the importance of social media in e-governance by emphasizing on two significant factors i.e. Citizen Participation and Government Engagement, explaining them in detail.
