Abstract: 

Learning the foreign language is the need of the hour. With globalization and liberalization, the world has become a common workplace. The purpose of the language studies provides employees with a comprehensive understanding of an individual language, its construction, use and literacy, cultural, social and political context in which the language is spoken. Advent of the process of globalization leads to opening up of economies that resulted in coming of MNC’s to our country and that are the reason of increase opportunities for Japanese professionals. There  are great career opportunities available for bilingual English/Japanese experts. Now India has become globalize country, 60% companies are having foreign collaborations among that 20% collaborations are done only with Japanese IT companies but as we all know Japan is not limited to IT sector, it is also leading with automobile, Finance, Insurance, Pharmaceutical sector. It is observed that most of the Indian companies like Sony, Toshiba, Sanyo, Casio, Canon, Minolta, Honda, Toyota and Mitsubishi having Japanese collaboration are from automobile sectors. And it is known to all of us that the Japanese collaboration has helped Indian automobile companies to achieve not only market share but it has also helped them in creating niche in the world market. The objective of researcher is to study about the scope and use of Japanese language and Japanese collaboration in automobile sector. This research paper also discusses about how the Japanese language & collaboration contribute in the international exposure and growth of Indian automobile industries. The secondary data has been used for the research. The paper throws light on the growing impact and involvement of foreign languages in the Indian automobile sector and it concludes that Japanese collaboration with reference to automobile sector has  contributed in the growth of Indian companies.
