Abstract: 

 

Business Intelligence (BI) systems integrate analytical and operational data to present competitive and complex information to decision makers and planners namely higher officials of the company. The objective is to enhance the quality of inputs for the decision process.BI is also used for better understanding the capabilities present in the company; they might be different trends, standards, competitive growth, innovative technologies, the state of the art and the production environment in which the firm competes.BI helps in monitoring, analyzing and reporting the data to the higher authorities for enhancing and improving the quality and integrity of the company.

In SQL server 2012, there are mainly three services provided for particular uses. They are: for integration of data we use SQL Server Integration Services, this service is used for integrating various forms into the data Warehouse. SQL Server Analysis Service is used for analyzing the data by performing online analytics processing and creating multi-dimensional data and SQL Server  Reporting Services are used to create various reports. In this paper we are focusing on the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SSRS is a Microsoft software system for server based report generation. It is used to prepare and deliver a various kinds of interactive and printed reports. Reporting services produces a web interface for development of custom reporting applications. It is administrated via a web interface.
