Abstract:

This survey describes the concept of Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) and studies routing protocols for MANETs. MANET is a collection of wireless mobile nodes which communicate and exchange data with each other without any fixed infrastructure. Mobile Ad hoc Network varies from other networks on the basis of its limited power, limited processing and limited memory resources and also frequently changing topology. The main goal of ad-hoc routing protocols are to improve delay, provide reliability, reduce overhead, maximize network life, provide consistent communication and to guarantee load balancing as well as to improve many other requirements of mobile ad-hoc network. Hence, we propose here the theoretical analysis of Reactive Routing Protocols in MANET, which will help us to solve the problems and issues in these protocols for further contemplations.
