Abstract: 

The present paper is an study conducted through in-depth interviews with street hawkers and venders, who belongs to the bottom of pyramid societies to earn their bread and butter through road side unorganized business and shops specifically in Karnal, Kurukshetra and Panipat, Haryana. A questionnaire on basis of different criteria was framed keeping street entrepreneurs in mind and a support of observations to add richness to overall the data. With a sample size of 172 hawkers, various questions were asked and recorded and analyzed on various parameters with respect to street entrepreneurship. Moreover the research significantly involved these markets on various parameters consequential as to identify the importance of this market, which is a big pie in overall economy. It was an effort to the issues, potential and prospects of this segment. We have included some suggestions to improve this community.
