Abstract:

Software reliability is defined as the probability that a software system fulfills its assigned task for a specified period of time in a specified environment assuming that the hardware and inputs are free of error. Reliability of any software product is a quantifiable attribute which affects the reliability of a system. In this paper, we discussed various factors which affect the reliability of software during its life cycle. These factors help in estimating the reliability of software and also help in designing the reliable software.
