Abstract:

In our patriarchal society, crime against women is still increasing due to negligence of law enforcers and social factors. In this research paper we try to relate certain identified factors (sex ratio, literacy/illiteracy, working/ non-working population and literates without education) with crime against women using soft computing technique - fuzzy logic. The technique has been implemented on dataset of 100 Indian districts obtained from www.data.gov.in. The approach indicates mutual association of crime against women with the given factors to some extent. We need to deploy resources towards the improvement of these factors to mitigate or reduce crime against women.
