Disk Scheduling has always been a very interesting area of research. A lot of papers have been published so far. In general, researchers today want to optimize disk scheduling algorithms using optimization techniques. Many traditional approaches are for the conventional systems. In today’s world, audio, video and animations belong to the real-time applications, hence deadlines should be meeting. Now a days, major shift happened towards techniques of soft computing. Many of the researches have been done in the field of the disk parameters optimization. The disk parameters play a very important role in the field of the disk scheduling. Here, we have analyzed all the existing researches altogether to compare them.
