Abstract: 

A Meta search engine is a search engine that provides the ranked and merged results from various underlying standalone search engines. As the web world is ever increasing and thus the amount of web pages on web has increased enormously. Each search engine employs a certain ranking method and the domain of their database documents differs from the other search engine. Thus, their need a way to merge the result in an efficient way so that user gets the desired result in their context. In this paper I will discuss the fundamentals of meta search engine technology and various fundamental Page ranking algorithm that have been developed, discussed and implemented.
