A NOVEL DESIGN OF SLOT PATCH ANTENNA FOR MOBILE/WLAN/Wi-MAX/ LTE APPLICATIONS

Abstract: 

This paper presents the design and performance of CPW fed Microstrip slot antenna having a T shaped slot in radiating patch. The overall size of antenna is 36mm × 30 mm × 1.59 mm. The proposed antenna is simulated by applying CST Microwave Studio simulator 2014. This antenna provides wide impedance bandwidth of 3.12GHz (2.23 GHz – 5.35 GHz) with flat gain (close to 2dBi) in the desired frequency range. This antenna may be proved a useful structure for modern wireless communication systems including Mobile/LTE bands, WLAN bands, Wi-Max bands as well as in lower UWB band
