A WIDE SLOT MONOPOLE PLANAR ANTENNA FOR MOBILE/WLAN/WIMAX/ NETWORK SECURITY APPLICATIONS

Abstract: 

In this article, the design and performance of wide slot monopole microstrip patch antenna with two- dual semi elliptical ring underneath the elliptical shaped patch with parasitic patch element is presented. The overall size of antenna is 40mm × 40 mm × 1.59 mm. The proposed antenna is simulated by applying CST Microwave Studio simulator 2014. This antenna provides triple band of bandwidth 0.4 GHz (2.22 GHz- 2.62 GHz), 1.23 GHz (2.70 GHz- 3.93 GHz) and 1.35 GHz (4.95 GHz-6.29 GHz) with flat gain (close to 4-5dBi). This antenna may be very useful structure for modern wireless communication systems including Mobile, WLAN bands, Wi-Max bands. It is an important part of different mobile/handset devices, wireless sensor as well as network security systems due to its size and wider bandwidth.
