The implementation of cryptographic systems for smart cards makes a challenging approach due to limited abilities of the platform. Since a huge amount of users trust on the system for their purposes, it then has developed into a big vulnerable target for the attackers. One of the most important applications of smart cards is digital signature employ two process signature generation and verification. In this paper, we review and describe an implementation of Elliptic Curve Cryptography over finite field arithmetic, followed by the existing scheme design of the smart cards. We discuss the ECC over Galois finite field and the approaches where further work can be proceed in the computation of cryptosystem.
